The kids slept in till 9:30 this morning!!!! It was awesome! Probably won't happen again another time this summer. Today was Memorial Day and we all talked about what that meant! We are very thankful for all the soldiers, men and women that gave such a sacrifice for us and our freedom!!! God Bless each and every fallen soldier.
We spent most of our day outside. Watering plants that hadn't been watered in days, since we were gone. Playing some ball, planting and weeding in the garden, gave Clark his first bath of the summer, played on the slip n slide, in the sprinkler, and with a Buzz Lightyear rocket. Daddy made us enchilada's on the grill. Yummy! What laundry and dirty house?!?!?! That can wait till tomorrow, right?
It was a great day!!

Oklahoma for Mamaw's Memorial Service...... on to New Mexico....
Well, We headed out Friday afternoon to Noble Oklahoma for Mamaw's Memorial Service. We spent the evening at Aunt Gingers and Uncle Bobby's house visiting with family and friends. Some we had never met before and some we just hadn't seen in ages. Off to the hotel for the night and then had a beautiful and touching Memorial Service for Mamaw and celebrated her life. Thanks Nan and Bill for sending the most beautiful flowers. They were all purple and lavender. Mamaw would have loved them! They actually got put up front next to one of her pictures!
We weren't going to go on to New Mexico for the burial but decided to last minute. So glad we did. I just wouldn't have been able to live with myself if i hadn't have been there. Plus, when are we ever going to be in New Mexico again? Probably not for a long time! We actually drove right by where Papaw used to work on the way back from the cemetery and told the kids that he used to work there along time ago!!! He worked at the Port of Entry on the border of Texas and New Mexico, Texico New Mexico.
Mamaw and Papaw are buried where his parents and siblings are buried. It was a beautiful day!
The kids got their pics taken at the Oklahoma sign, Texas sign and New Mexico sign! Pretty cool for them. We are going to make a book at the end of summer about what all we did and where we went this summer.
It was a very long trip in the car but NOT ONCE did the kids complain!! They were just AWESOME!!! They got along the entire time and no fighting at all. Unheard of.......... it got a little loud but we will take that over fighting any day.

We got to drive through some neat old towns. Blake took some off the beaten path roads home. I never know how that choice is going to go but it usually always ends up worth not driving on the freeway.

Larger Garden and new location....
Well it is that time of year again. And what a glorious time of year it is! One of my favorites! Time to plant our family garden. This year we are growing corn, green beans, red and white onions, potatoes, cucumbers ( momma's favorite ), cantaloupe ( Bailey's favorite ), watermelon, radishes ( Blake's favorite ), okra ( Brooks' favorite ), tomatoes and cherry tomatoes. YUMMO!!
We had a small garden last year but we learned that it just didn't get enough sun so we moved it a new location in our yard. It is much larger. Can't wait to see this garden growing our fresh veggies. Love veggies right out of the garden and Blake and I love teaching our kiddos that they can grow and eat their food right from their backyard. It is a lot of fun for them to plant and then watch the veggies grow. We actually found a carrot still growing in the ground when we went to till the soil. Bailey brought it inside, washed it off and ate it! Love that!
Thanks Daddy for working so hard to get our soil ready for us to plant the veggies. You did all the hard work and you are appreciated!!!

Bailey's Pre-School Graduation
Bailey Quin graduated pre-school. She was so excited to wear the cap and gown they got them to wear! They had their ceremony in the chapel of the hospital. It was beautiful. It had big glass windows looking out onto a court yard. The kids sang two songs and then they got a certificate and a bible. We are so proud of you Bailey girl! You are such a bright and happy girl!

Bulldogs!!
Brooks played his 6th game of the regular season right after Bailey's game. Bulldogs played an amazing game. All the boys came out to play some ball today!!!! They all had their heads in the game and their bats were on fire!!! They won 27-4. GO BULLDOGS!! It was a good good day to be at the ball fields! At Brooks game instead of rain we had wind gusts! The rain had moved out and skies cleared but we all came home with a lot of dirt in our teeth and ears. We were basically covered in dirt!
They played their best game yet!
They are 6-0 for the season. They have about 8 more games in the regular season left and then the playoffs. They still have a few tournaments to play in, which will only make them better players for their regular season games. Brooks made some great hits and he played third base the whole game because the kid that usually plays third was gone today. Brooks fielded a few balls and caught a fly ball!!! He says he likes playing third. I think the other kid has some competition!! GREAT GAME BROOKS!!! Nana and Grandpa Kently were at Brooks' game as well. He always likes when people can make it out to watch him play!
They played their best game yet!
warming up
your up!!
way to be focused!
