finishing up tourney

Brooks' baseball tourney got rained out so we finished it last weekend. Got a few shots of Brooks on base and sliding home. He was SAFE!!! Bailey kept herself cool and occupied with her Barbie pool and Barbies. She then added a lot of rocks into their pool. The Barbies didn't like that too much!

Momma Tiger

Bailey likes to sleep with this giant " Momma Tiger " as she calls it. I walked in to check on her before heading to bed myself and found her like this. Momma tiger was protecting her cub!!

Car Show, History Tour, Carnival two and Concert

The next morning we headed up to the park and walked through all the old cars. Brooks really liked the DeLorean. Then we headed over to the old cabin that John Brown stayed at a long time ago. I am clearly not a history buff and really don't like listening about history but Blake and Nan love it! The kids liked it too. We got to listen to some stories. We went outside to hear from the men of the Civil War. They told the kids all about the surgeries they had to do and all the people that died cause of the disease that spread. They showed them the tools they used back then and told them about the medicines they used and didn't use. That part was actually interesting to me! Nana left after that and headed back to Hays, we went on to day two at the carnival. Man oh man it was a hot one out!! We stayed there from 4-7 then headed over to the concerts they had going on. It lasted till about 11. Kids were done, and ready to go home! It was a LONG LONG day and night! But what a GREAT day it was!! Thank you Nana for our armbands! And thank you again for coming down for a visit!

Carnival One.....

We headed over to the carnival after Bailey's pageant. The kids were super excited! Both Nana's went with us and as we were walking in we passed the back of the stage where the concert was going on. There was a band member back stage that was dressed up like KISS. I asked Brooks is he wanted to get his pic taken with him and he looked at me funny and said, " no way !! " I laughed. Then i asked my mom. If you know my mom she doesn't go out of her comfort zone very often. So, of course she said, " no. " We got about 10 steps and she hit me on the arm and said " ok lets do it! " I was so proud of her!! The kids had a great time on the rides. Especially the big tall slide! Brooks got a carmel apple and Bailey got her usual hot dog. They each got a glow wand. Came home and Nana had a little SPECIAL gift for Bailey girl for being in the pageant. A girly gift! She got a pretty sparkly round keepsake box with a pretty high heel on it and we all know that Bailey loves shoes as much as her momma! She loved it, Thanks Nana!! What a special gift that she can keep forever!
